TheeExperience is a pop-up event series designed to spotlight and connect creatives, entrepreneurs, and storytellers during JSU's 2025 Homecoming.

Our goal: build genuine relationships, boost visibility, and create collaboration opportunities beyond homecoming weekend.

What Events Are Part of the Series?

Thursday, Oct. 9 — The Creative Mixer @ The Gallery (9–11 PM)
A casual, high-energy networking night for content creators, media pros, and business owners.

Friday, Oct. 10 — Walk of Fame
Red carpets and backdrops at The Center for Social Entrepreneurship, Yard Fest, the Alumni Day Party, and more.

Saturday, Oct. 11 — Homecoming Highlights
On-the-ground creative collabs and social media coverage.

Who Can Participate?

Accepted Answer

Content creators, small business owners, photographers, videographers, designers, marketers, and community leaders who want to connect, create, and grow.

What’s the Purpose?

1. Curate collaborations and growth by connecting creators with each other and expanding reach and platform visibility.

2. Cross-pollinate audiences to expand reach, influence, and opportunities for all participants.

How Can I Get Involved?

What Type of Content Should I Provide?

The documentary will cover homecoming from beginning to end — the full experience.
That means we’re looking for B-rolls, A-rolls, & personal moments that reflect your view of the weekend.

Here’s what we need:
- GRWM (Get Ready With Me) clips
- OOTD (Outfit of the Day) moments
- Day parties & tailgates
- Game time reactions
- Party & nightlife clips
- Talking head moments (your reflections or commentary)

Creative guidelines:

- Record yourself getting ready, vibing at events, and capturing highlights from your perspective
- Use natural light, good audio, and keep clips under 30 seconds
- Hold camera horizontal for interviews & vertical for stories
- Use filters “Jakarta” or “Retro Cam”

(Optional) Finish one of these lines on camera:
- “Being part of JSUs legacy means…”
- “Homecoming is…”

Can I Bring My Own Photographer/Videographer?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We ask that you or your team tag #TheeExperience and submit select clips to our shared drive (link provided via QR code). We’ll credit all contributors in the final reel.

Question 8

Do I Have to Attend All the Events to Participate?

Accepted Answer

No. Participation can be in-person or digital — or both.

Some attendees will be at every event, while others may technically attend none.

You can still be a full participant by uploading your footage or posts to Instagram using the hashtags
#THEEExperience, #THEEPremiere, and #JSUHomecoming.

Doing any or both — showing up or showing out online — counts.

Pro Tip for Creators

1. Record yourself getting ready, vibing at events, and other highlights from your perspective.

Use natural light, good audio, and keep clips under 30 seconds.
Have your camera horizontal for interviews and vertical for stories
Use filters “Jakarta” or “Retro Cam”

2. Watch your engagement this weekend. We expect participants see a 5–10% spike in reach and followers when they tag and interact with TheeExperience.
Track your analytics — and if you see that bump, let us know! We’re spotlighting success stories afterward.

We’ve got you. You can upload your own clips from wherever you are — getting ready, repping your alma mater, or sharing what HBCU culture means to you.
Tag them with #THEEExperience, #THEEPremiere, and #JSUHomecoming to be included.

How Can I Collaborate With The Law Shop or Sponsors?

If you’re a creator, business owner, or brand rep looking to partner on future content or community activations, mark that on your QR code sign-in form. You’ll be the first to know when new opportunities drop.

Question 15

Will There Be Interviews?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A few guests will be selected for short “talking head” segments — spontaneous, natural reflections on the vibe, your work, and legacy.
If you’re interested, note that when you sign in with the QR code or at the door.
