DASHMODE is a Houston DJ and producer making bass house for people who want to “dance as hard as they physically can for every drop.” The project runs on vocal chops that hook, wide distorted bass that grooves HARD, and nostalgic elements like vinyl scratches and synths that perk your ears and pay homage to a different era. Soft arpeggios and lasers accentuate every drop that needs a groove. His brother influenced his taste by showing him Skrillex’s Bangarang EP, and he’s been thirsty for EDM ever since. DASHMODE found his creative direction through Knock2’s “DASHSTAR”, a sound that he “felt like there needed to be more of.” DJ decks in VRChat started his project. His first live break was with Houston’s VRTX live scene. DASHMODE has since rinsed tracks at Axelrad, Department of Dance, VRTX’s warehouse, and Comicpalooza, including an opening set for DJ Palmo in 2026. DASHMODE’s releases include the debut single “LOSE CONTROL,” “T-1000” with MNB and ItsHypocrisy, and a flip of Tynan’s “his name is” (available on SoundCloud). The latest collaboration, “AGAIN AGAIN” with FIVESTVRS, is a new direction into UK garage for him. An upcoming EP begins the project’s “NO SIGNAL” era. Exciting! At the center of DASHMODE is the titular little TV-head robot. In a messy world much like our own, you can find CRTs, graffiti, kandi, and connections in unlikely places. The music is for social butterflies who live and die in their bedroom. It’s for the partygoers who can only keep it together for one good sprint a weekend. It’s for you; find the groove and leave with a smile.
