Textile Reuse interns work under the Office of Sustainability’s Textile Reuse Program. This role helps lead our on-campus clothing donation collections and textile reuse initiatives, including managing and staffing The Loop, GW’s free clothing exchange. The program supports circularity by diverting textiles from the waste stream and extending their useful life through reuse. Textile Reuse interns can expect to: Sort through textile donations to separate out items of value to GW students and to our community partners. Manage storage of textile donations Coordinate with campus partners on clothing donation drives and clothing exchange events. Serve as a liaison to the student organization dedicated to sustainable fashion (Responsible Fashion Collective). Market thrifting opportunities to promote circularity as a value of the GW community.
