I just want to preface this by saying I know ceviche is mostly a raw dish and the lime juice is supposed to “cook” the shrimp but as you can see this shrimp was served to me completely raw, still grey. I didn’t eat it, my friends all enjoyed their food so I imagine this place had decent food. I was very disappointed In the ceviche though and I even had to ask AI with a photo if this was normal or safe to eat and it said it was not based on the photos.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner at Santo Pulpo during our first night in San Jose del Cabo. The restaurant was rather empty when we arrived, which almost turned us off, but we were glad we gave it a try. The food was prepared with care and very delicious, especially the grilled octopus. The service was very friendly and attentive and we got to enjoy some live music during our meal.
We had a wonderful experience dining at Santo Pulpo on our first night in San Jose del Cabo. Although the restaurant was quite empty when we arrived—which initially gave us pause—we’re so glad we decided to stay. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the attentive staff made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The staff was both friendly and professional, ensuring we were comfortable throughout our meal.
The food truly exceeded our expectations. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, bursting with fresh flavors and beautifully presented. The highlight of our meal was definitely the grilled octopus—it was perfectly cooked, tender, and delicious. We also appreciated the variety on the menu, which offered something for everyone in our group.
To top it off, we enjoyed live music during dinner, which created a relaxed and enjoyable ambiance. Overall, Santo Pulpo provided a memorable start to our trip, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting San Jose del Cabo.

We were very excited about trying  this place and it didn't dissapoint. Octopus carpaccio was divine, super tender, grill octopus  was amazing as well. We also tried thwle seafood soup and seafood pasta..all the seafood was 10/10 , swrvice was good, the appetizers took a little long to come out but  worth it!highly recommend this place!

Our family had a great meal here during our trip. It was fun to sit on the roof and the food and service were both excellent!

Absolute garbage. I came to Mexico thinking the food was going to be top notch, and all I can say this has been the worse experience. We ordered shrimp ceviche and the fried snapper. The shrimp ceviche was bland and had no flavor, and the appearance matched (as the photos will attest ) the fish was fried to oblivion, there was no meat to be found. (Again refer to the photographic exhibits). All in all, this cost over $100 usd. When we brought this up to the servers attention, he just brushed it off saying “yeah, looks like they cooked it too long” like I’m supposed to just accept it, and they did nothing to remedy or offer to remake it. Do not come here! If you do, consider yourself warned.

This place sucks. The service is horrible. We arrived and there was barely any people here, our waiter said the food would take 15 minutes. We proceeded to wait over an hour for our food. When we complained they laughed at us and said there is no discount for a longer wait.
