Am I Eligible to Join?

To qualify for membership, you must:

Hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree

Be a legally licensed allopathic or osteopathic physician in the State of Oklahoma

Alternatively, you may be employed by a branch of the federal government and assigned to work in Oklahoma County

Live or primarily practice in Oklahoma County

Additional Membership Categories:

Affiliate Members: Contact OCMS for eligibility and an application.

Residents (MD/DO): Eligible if serving at an accredited facility in Oklahoma County.

Medical Students: Must be enrolled and in good standing at either the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine or the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine.

How Long Does It Take to Join?

The application takes just 5–7 minutes to complete.
Your membership benefits begin immediately upon receipt of your application and dues. Final approval is granted by OCMS. We strive to make this process as fast and smooth as possible.

Do I Have to Join the AMA?

Accepted Answer

No. OCMS and OSMA are not unified with the American Medical Association (AMA). AMA membership is optional, though we can collect and remit AMA dues for you if you choose to join.
