No official diagnosis needed! If you self-identify as disabled, you are welcome here. We understand that there are many barriers to getting an official diagnosis and respect that you are the expert on your own life.

Do I need to have First Nations status, or Métis citizenship to access the NINS?

No! The NINS program is available to all First Nations, Métis, and Inuit identifying individuals and families!

We don't provide direct funding, but we are happy to help you with your applications to programs that do!

To access support, you can fill out our request for services on our website, email/mail/fax out printable referral paperwork (link in linktree), or reach out to us via email, by phone, or in-person at our Victoria BC, or Ottawa ON locations!

NINS stands for National Indigenous Navigation Services, which is our national disability benefit navigation program.

IDC is Indigenous Disability Canada.

BCANDS is the BC Aboriginal Network on Disability Society, which is a branch of IDC, servicing Indigenous Peoples living in BC.

NINS Navigators provide personalized, one-to-one support to individuals and families. This may include assistance with:
•	Collaborating and communicating with healthcare providers, government agencies, and community organizations
•	Identifying and communicating eligible benefits to clients and their families
•	Completing and submitting necessary paperwork
