How do I submit maintenance request for something to be fixed in my apartment?

Complete a maintenance request in your housing portal (link above). Please report any issues to us RIGHT AWAY. Not reporting issues can possibly lead to further problems, and we want you to live comfortably!

I have a guest coming over. What do I do?

Accepted Answer

All guests must be registered whether they are parking a car inside Bengal Village or not. All guests must be registered in the housing portal which is provided in this Housing Hub (see link above). If your guest drives, you must pick up their parking pass in the office when it's open or with an RA before 8PM.

What is the mailing address? Where & when can I pick up my mail?

All mail is delivered to the housing office inside the clubhouse. Use the format below:

Who do I contact outside of office hours?

There is a designated resident assistant on duty 24/7 regardless of campus closures. The number to call is 337-305-2803.

Question 9

What can I call an RA for?

Accepted Answer

Outside of our normal office hours, you may need to call the RA at 337-305-2803 to pickup a package, if you get locked out, to replace a smoke detector battery, to get a guest pass, to ask general questions, for noise complaints, a maintenance emergency that require immediate attention, etc.

Although the RAs have provided their individual Google Voice numbers, they are not on duty 24/7, so for the issues listed above, always contact 337-305-2803 first! An RA does not complete maintenance requests such as unclogging toilets or changing light bulbs.

What amenities does Bengal Village have?

The clubhouse is open 24/7 and includes a laundry room, a study room with computers and printer, basketball court, a pool, BBQ pits, picnic tables, and common area with a TV & seating.

The pool opens at 9:00 AM and closes at 10:00 PM.

I need to wash my clothes. What do I do?

The laundry room is located inside of the clubhouse and is open 24/7 and free for you to use! You just need to bring your own laundry detergent. An RA is available to provide a demo anytime you need, and we even supply the laundry detergent during for that demo.

Are animals allowed?

Accepted Answer

Any animal brought into Bengal Village must be approved by Ms. Victoria and is limited to ESAs or service animals. Rescues, guests' animals, etc. are against housing policies and will result in a $100/day fine.

Who can I talk to if I have questions or just need to talk?

You have a whole support team here for you from the resident assistants (RAs), Ms. Catlyn, and even free counseling (in-person or virtually). Do not hesitate to reach out. We're here to support you! Each RA's Google Voice Number is listed in their profiles in the Housing Hub, and you are more than welcome to reach out to them when you need. Information for counseling can be found towards the bottom of the housing hub.

Where can I get my student ID card?

You can pick up your ID in the Community Education Building (the building by the baseball field) Room 204, Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Your first ID card is free, and each replacement is $5.
