Mixtapes: NOSTOS, ALGOS, NOSTALGIA, GYMNASTIC, and ANEMOIA — 8 tracks each, for a total of 40 songs. Every album includes 2–3 tracks in English or Japanese, reflecting the multilingual vision behind K-garoo’s “Seoul Music” world.

2. Re-recording Album (1)
DKZ (DeKangaroo Zone)
A reinterpretation of 7 selected tracks from the first four mixtapes — this time without K-garoo’s own vocals, rebuilt for clarity and atmosphere. Includes one brand-new bonus track, “Dig on Me.”

3. Remix Albums (2)
a. Vinyl House – 22 songs reimagined in deep/house style.
b. Loose Tape – 18 songs reworked into lo-fi versions for late-night listening. Both remix albums were generated through AI reinterpretation of the original tracks.

작사 및 작곡은 직접 하는건가요?

작사는 전곡 LEEHEE가 담당, 원래 시나 에세이 블로깅를 쓰기 위해 기록해놓던 소재들과 짧은 글들을 가사 구성에 맞게 재구성한 것들이 대부분. 작곡은 정규앨범 40+1곡 중 정확히 절반 26곡은 AI 작곡 후 편곡(샘플링), 곡내에 AI작곡이라는 증거로 워터마크 사운드를 남겨놓음,

나머지 14곡은 Logic Pro X 원툴로 비트는 UnitedMasters 비트/멜로디 마켓에서 일부 구입 (구입비용 + 라이센스 로얄티 2%), 2곡은 AI가 만든 멜로디를 벤치마킹해서 사용. ** 리믹스 앨범 2장은 원곡들 AI에 넣고 돌린 곡들

Do you write all the Songs by yourself?

All lyrics are written by LEEHEE, drawn from his personal essays and journal notes — reshaped into poetic fragments that became song lyrics.

Out of 41 original tracks:
• 26 were AI-composed and later re-arranged or sampled, each intentionally leaving a subtle AI watermark sound within.
• 14 were composed fully in Logic Pro X, with several licensed beats and melodies purchased from UnitedMasters’ Beat Market (2% royalty).
• 2 tracks benchmark melodies created by AI.

노래는 직접 부르는 건가요?

Accepted Answer

여성 보컬 및 일부 남성 보컬은 전부 실용음악과 출신 현역 가이드 여성 보컬 2분 (소정의 비용 + 로얄티 60%). 참고로 "歔 (흐느낄 허)"도 Hyejung님이 남성 보컬 테크닉으로 부른 것을 피치 등 조절하여 다듬어낸 곡.

신디사이저V로 보컬을 합성해서 입힌 곡들도 상당수. 남성 보컬 특히 영어곡은 대부분 신디사이저V 기본 보컬모델 사용.

** 4집부터는 SynthV말고 보컬 음성 변조와 합성에 SoundID/VoiceID를 라이센싱(ㅅㅂ$499)해서 사용하고 있습니다. 한국어 보컬링은 아직도 좀 너무 한정적인 기교들만 부려줄수 있지만, 전체적인 퀄이 진짜 넘사벽입니다. 제가 대강 원하는 느낌으로 멜로디로 부르고 여성 보컬곡으로 변환시켜도 아주 완벽하게 나옵니다.

Female and male vocals were performed by two professional vocalists from a contemporary music department — compensated with fixed fees + 60% royalty share.
For instance, “歔 (Heuneun-gil / Heunikeul)” was sung by Hyejung, whose voice was later pitch-shaped and engineered to sound male.

Many English and male vocals were produced through Synthesizer V voice synthesis. From the 4th album onward, K-garoo licensed SoundID / VoiceID ($499) technology, allowing seamless voice morphing between self-sung demos and final female performances — a breakthrough in expressive realism.

믹싱과 마스터링 같은 후반작업도 직접 하나요?

믹싱은 아마추어 현직 실용음악과 학생이 정규 앨범 3장 작업, 마스터링은 Munute 사용

**5집 ANEMOIA전곡은 처음으로 강걸우 혼자서 믹싱과 마스터링 전부 배워가며 한번 도전해봤습니다. 그래서 UMMA같은 트랙은 믹싱 잘못해서 위상간섭생겨 코러스 울렁거림을 잡다잡다 좀 실패하긴 했습니다. 많은 프로 사운드 엔지니어 분들이 훈수를 두어 주셨고, Ozone11부터 온갖 플러그인들 사가지고 덤벼들었는데, 믹마 배우는 것도 목적이었지만 외주주는 돈 아낄려고 덤벼들었다가 돈 더 나갔네요 ㅠㅠ  결과물도 좀...하아.. 그래도 '추천가' 만큼은 진짜 사운드 기막히게 엔지니어링 했다고 자부합니다.

Three of the early albums were mixed by a student sound engineer from a music college,
and mastered via Munute.

For the 5th album ANEMOIA, K-garoo took full control — mixing and mastering entirely solo for the first time.
Tracks like “UMMA” suffered from some phase interference during early experiments, but “추천가 (Recommender’s Song)” stands as one of his proudest engineering works.
He learned deeply through trial, advice from professional engineers, and a full suite of Ozone 11 plug-ins — chasing both skill and independence (and ironically, spending even more money in the process).
