Sailing Ke Nako

Living on a boat, we gave up physical ties to life on land, but Spokane has become our home away from home. Our Spokane Crew has welcomed us into their homes for weeks at a time, and we fell into lockstep with their lives, immersed in kids’ sports, birthdays, BBQs, and so much laughter. It’s hard to describe how it feels to be so far away and unable to help as they face the daunting reality of losing everything. Things can be replaced, but these were their homes. The places they raised their babies and made countless memories. Their children are coping with the loss of beloved treasures and routines turned upside down. The road ahead will be long and emotional. Please keep our Framily, the Adkissons, Hickeys, Ospahls, Tripis, Masiareks, and everyone affected by the Spokane fires in your thoughts or prayers.
