How to lock a link with a code or password

A Code Lock or Password Lock asks visitors to enter a code or password before they can open a link. Only people you share it with can access what's behind it. Use one to keep a link private to a select audience.

  1. From My Linktree, select Edit. In the Links tab, select the link you want to lock.
  2. Select the Power-ups tab, then select Lock link.
  3. Choose a lock and set it up:
    • Code: Enter a 4-digit code under Code to unlock this link, using numbers only.
    • Password: Enter a password under Password to unlock this link.
  4. Enter a short Lock explanation so visitors know why the link is locked.
The Lock link page with Code active, a 4-digit code entered, and a lock explanation, next to a preview where the link shows a lock icon.

The lock shows as Incomplete until you enter a code or password, then as Active. Once it's active, the link shows a lock icon on your Linktree.
