ANOTHER AUTISM - social group for women+

Another Autism is a social and peer support group with both online and in person events for women+. Get in touch, we don't advertise the link to online events publicly.

I'm also involved in the Sydney Autism Commuity Lions Club, sydneyautismlions.com which is about serving the community. We meet monthly at Ryde Library and you should come along! We're currently working on developing welcome events for people who are newly diagnosed or identified and providing sensory spaces at festivals, and we're open to other ideas too.

AUWU website and Helpline details

The AUWU is in flux, building itself back up to what it used to be. The helpline and the Breadline radio show are going strong and we're working on training and supporting people to start groups and run projects. We recently commemorated ten years since Josh Park-Fing died on a forced labour site and endorsed the #protectourndis protests. We're collaborating with the Living Museum of the West on an activist history project, we're planning some grants for activists and we're incredibly proud of endpartnerincometesting.com 

Anyone who is unemployed, underemployed or simply supports us can join our mailing list and get involved, but we're still regaining control of systems including the website, so contact me if you want to know how things stand or what you can do.

But if you need help dealing with Centrelink or JSPs, etc, go straight to auwu.org.au/esp-advocacy for a range of ways to contact someone who can help you.

Opera Lirica is a community opera company with an unauditioned chorus, so you can come along and take part!

We're currently working on Die Fledermaus - come along to a rehearsal before the end of May 2026 if you'd like to be in the chorus, and look out for links soon to book tickets - July 11/12 in Ashfield or 18/19 in Springwood. 

Also look out for our new website, which should surely be up soon..... I chair the committee meetings so I can also tell you all about how we need people to help us with our social media, help out backstage, staff fundraising BBQs and do all the little things that artists aren't necessarily good at!
