Tibet Lobby Day is Back! | Free Tibet
Tibet Lobby Day is back! This is the most powerful opportunity of the year to put Tibet directly in front of the people who have the power to act. On 17 June, Tibetans and supporters from across the UK will come together to demand that their MPs take the human rights crisis in Tibet seriously. We need you to be part of it. In Tibet, close to one million Tibetan children have been torn from their families and placed in Chinese state-run colonial boarding schools, stripped of their language, their religion, and their identity.

Even here, Tibetans are no longer safe | Free Tibet
Friend, the Chinese government now carries out more acts of transnational repression than any other regime on Earth. Even here in the UK, the CCP uses: Surveillance and digital monitoring Threatening phone calls and online harassment Pressure and punishment of family members in Tibet The result is silence. Tibetan parents tell their children not to call. Communities shrink in fear. Exiles are left anxious, exhausted, and sleepless. This is transnational repression. Its purpose is simple: to silence Tibet forever.

Since China’s invasion in 1950, Tibet’s religion is being extinguished, its culture and language erased. And countless Tibetans have been murdered. The terrifying thing is that we don’t actually know…

Hands Off Tibet's Land
Hands Off Tibet's Land
Thousands of Tibetans in Tibet are being forced from their homes - Entire villages flooded - Priceless, centuries-old Buddhist heritage is being destroyed. These are the stakes if China's Kamtok hydropower dam in eastern Tibet goes ahead. China's dam will use Tibet’s waters to generate power for China’s cities while Tibetans are left to pick up the pieces. Local Tibetans who have protested have been arrested in their hundreds. One of the main companies behind the Kamtok Dam is China Huadian. China Huadian has international investors and partners.
Stop China's War on Buddhism
Stop China's War on Buddhism
Tibetan Buddhism has never faced a greater threat. Every day the Chinese government furthers its destruction of the religion that stands at the heart of Tibet’s unique culture. Its latest outrage is its destruction of religious sites in Tibet’s Drago County, including three large Buddhist statues of huge significance to the community. Members of the community who opposed the demolitions or expressed grief have been detained and tortured. We must demand our governments take action.

Lhundrub Drakpa's family haven't heard from him in four years. Lhundrub Drakpa is a popular Tibetan singer from Driru County in Nagchu, central Tibet. In March 2019, he released his song “Black Hat", which criticises Chinese Communist Party policies, singing how "the voice of the six million Tibetans is gagged" and lamenting the "sorrow of the people of the Land of Snow". By May 2019, he had been arrested. After more than a year in detention, during which time he was beaten, Lhundrub Drakpa stood trial and, in June 2020, was sentenced to six years in prison. His current location is unknown.
Protect Tibet's Children
Protect Tibet's Children
The Chinese Communist Party has a terrifying plan for Tibet’s children: close to one million Tibetans between four and 18 years old are being made to live in colonial boarding schools - cut off from their homes, their families, their language, and their way of life. At the same time, Tibetan-language schools are being closed and demolished. China's plan is to re-engineer Tibetan society and identity with devastating impacts. In the words of Dr.
Where is the Panchen Lama?
Where is the Panchen Lama?
In 1995, a young Tibetan boy called Gedhun Choekyi Nyima was recognised as the 11th Panchen Lama, a revered figure in Tibetan Buddhism. Days later he disappeared. At just six years old he became the world’s youngest political prisoner, held captive by the Chinese government. He is now 33 years old and has been missing for 27 years. Since his disappearance in 1995, the Chinese government has repeatedly dismissed requests for his release and for full disclosure about the Panchen Lama’s location and well-being.
Say No to a Dalai Lama Chosen by China
Say No to a Dalai Lama Chosen by China
In defiance of the deeply held wishes of the Tibetan people, China's government plans to appoint its own candidate as the next Dalai Lama. The role has historically been filled by identifying the reincarnation of the previous Dalai Lama after his death. The current 14th Dalai Lama has made clear that no Chinese appointed Dalai Lama will be the legitimate leader of Tibetan Buddhism. China already punishes Tibetans for practicing their religion as they choose. Its aim is to force a puppet Dalai Lama on Tibetans to neutralise Tibetan Buddhism's independence and cement its hold on Tibet.
