Presented in conjunction with When Monsters Dream, this program of rare Super 8mm films by Jan Ságl offers an intimate look at the Czechoslovak underground as art, resistance, and a way of life under political pressure. The evening will also include a guided tour of the exhibition with co-curator and Czech Center director Tereza Porybná.

This evening brings together photographer Libuše Jarcovjáková and artist Petra Janda, both current residents at Residency Unlimited (RU), through a shared interest in communities, care, and alternative ways of living together. Following Jarcovjáková’s conversation with Allen Frame in the cinema, Janda will stage a solo performance in the ballroom, after which the evening will ease into an informal rooftop gathering with the featured artists and other RU residents.
