His Life Story
October 17, 1951 - March 29, 2025
He embraced the great outdoors, finding joy in hunting, fishing, gardening, archery, diving and traveling-especially to Alaska. A man of many talents, he stayed active throughout his life, earning his second-degree black belt in Taekwondo and dedicating 22 years to teaching it. He served his community as a member of the Blanco Volunteer Fire Department, City Council and spent over 30 years working for Verizon. In 1974 he married Cathy, the love of his life. Their wonderful daughter Shari was born in 1975. Shari was the apple of Benny's eye and he was always proud of her. Benny never met a stranger. His kindness, laughter, and generosity touched everyone who knew him. He loved sharing his skills, mentoring others, and embracing life with an infectious enthusiasm. He was a devoted husband for 51 years, a loving and supportive father to Shari, and a loyal friend. Stubborn and strong-willed, he lived life on his terms, making an unforgettable impact.
