🧑‍🔧 Field Technician Role & Responsibilities

Field Technicians help ensure kiosks, vessels, and equipment remain safe, clean, and fully ready for guest use. Their work directly impacts safety, equipment condition, and the overall guest experience.

Field Technician are responsible for:

• Keeping kiosks clean, organized, and presentable
• Verifying that vessels and equipment are safe to use
• Securing kayaks, paddleboards, and accessories properly
• Identifying maintenance issues early and reporting or resolving them
• Preventing losses, damage, and safety risks

Consistent checks help prevent operational problems and ensure smooth daily operations and safety.

Field Technician's Role

🛶 VESSEL CHECKS

All kayaks and paddleboards must be accounted for and in good condition.

- Check for: Scratches, holes, or cracks; Missing seats or damaged parts; Broken or missing leashes.

- All vessels must have plugs installed and properly tightened. Missing or loose plugs can cause vessels to take on water and sink.

- Vessels must also be secured correctly: Kayaks and SUPs tilted on their sides; Seats down; Lanyards threaded and locked properly.

🧼 CLEANLINESS STANDARDS

Kiosks and equipment should always be clean and ready for guests.

• Kiosk exterior and surroundings are clean
• Vessels are presentable
• Locker contents are organized
• Life vests are wiped down
• Paddles, whistles, and accessories are clean

🏠 KIOSK CONDITION

• No chipped or peeling paint
• No missing signs or decals
• No dirt, debris, or clutter around the kiosk
• Lockers and doors working properly
• All compartments secured and locked

Any damage or issues should be reported or resolved promptly.

Which Vessels In Which Slot

🦺 Recommended equipment levels:

Per Single kayak or SUP
• 1 adult PFD
• 0.5 child PFD
• 1 paddle

Per Tandem kayak
• 2 adult PFDs
• 1 child PFD
• 2 paddles

Minimum extras per kiosk:
• 2 adult PFDs
• 2 kayak paddles
• 1 SUP paddle

No missing, broken, or damaged equipment should remain at the kiosk.

Vessels Weight limit

The Lifetime Horizon 100 Stand-Up Paddleboard: 230 lbs (104.3 kg).

Feelfree Juntos:  397 lbs (180 kg) .
