I had a major water leak at my warehouse and called ServiceMaster because they advertise 24-hour emergency service. Last night around 8 PM, I clearly explained that if the water was not removed quickly, it would freeze and make the situation much worse. I was repeatedly assured this was “no problem,” that they had all the necessary machinery including generators, and that a crew would arrive at 10 AM and finish before my electrician arrived at noon.

None of that was true.

This morning, instead of showing up to do the work they promised, they called and said they were not coming to remove the water or ice at all, only to provide an estimate that wouldn’t even happen until around noon. I was then told that I would need to provide a generator, despite being told the night before that they would bring everything needed, including a generator. Now they’re suddenly saying the frozen water is a problem, even though I warned them about this exact issue and was told it would be handled with “no problem.”

To make matters worse, when I spoke to the person this morning and questioned her about what I was promised the night before, she just hung up the phone on me.

Because of their delays and false assurances, I am now stuck with ice all over my warehouse, worsening damage, and I have to call a different company to fix the problem.

This is not real 24-hour emergency service. It’s a call center that overpromises, gives false reassurance, and leaves you stranded when the situation gets worse. Completely unprofessional, misleading, and a huge waste of time when you’re dealing with a real emergency. Avoid this company if you need honest, reliable help.

Complete waste of valuable time. A week after TWO ServiceMaster employees came and conducted an in-home inspection that cost me $150, on the day of service, I was told that THEY misquoted the agreed upon price. Specifically, that the price would be more because some guy showed up with a clipboard and flashlight; independent of the crew to perform the work, and “determined” the price would be higher. I called the office (they never called me), and told me that the price would indeed be higher due to today’s walkthrough. Are you serious? So what did the other two guys do? What didn’t they see that this guy did? I had a dire situation and thought that I called a reputable company to help alleviate my problem, not cause me more. And to do this on the day of service is beyond unacceptable. Don’t waste your time or money.
