Renee Hart is an artist focusing on Printmaking, Mixed Media, and Photography. Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and traditional lands of the Mi'kmaq people. Located in Treaty Six territory, Amiskwaciy Waskahikan, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Renee graduated from the University of Alberta (U of A) with a bachelor's in Fine Arts and Design (BFA). (2024) 

Their work often incorporates or is influenced by their curiosity revolving around nostalgia and ephemerality taken from moments in their life. They are finding new ways to bring them to life through printmaking, mixed media, and drawing. They aim to evoke emotions and reflection with their work through thoughtful and calculated compositions to create a captivating atmosphere that draws you in, sometimes working with the idea of relatable reality. 

I am navigating my work to be more accessible. This is a slow process but it is one I am trying to implement.
