Our community connection

Ōrewa Surf Life Saving Club is more than patrols on the beach-it’s a cornerstone of our community. From supporting local events to providing a place for families, schools and sports groups, the Club brings people together while keeping our beaches safe. A new Community Hub will give lifeguards the facilities they need and create a vibrant, welcoming space for everyone-strengthening connections, building leaders and ensuring a safer future for Ōrewa. 🌊🤝

For over 75 years, Ōrewa Surf Life Saving Club has protected our beaches and supported our community. Our lifeguards are on call year-round, rescuing lives, teaching water safety and developing future leaders. But our aging clubrooms no longer meet the needs of lifesaving operations or community activities. A new Surf Life Saving Community Hub will provide modern facilities, strengthen connections, and ensure a safer, stronger future for Ōrewa and the Hibiscus Coast.

Ōrewa Surf Life Saving Club is a registered charity (#CC26779), and all donations are tax deductible. NZ taxpayers can claim a rebate and, if they wish, re-donate it to increase the impact. Every gift—large or small—brings us closer to making our vision a reality.
