Martha Lyzzett Lozano

I’m a Mechanical Engineering student with a passion for how materials, design, and innovation come together to create better, more sustainable solutions. My research experiences in biomaterials and additive manufacturing have strengthened my skills in problem-solving through hands-on experimentation and creative engineering. My Physics minor has given me a stronger foundation for understanding materials and the science behind their behavior. Beyond the lab, I’ve found meaning in building community through SHPE and SWE, where I’ve helped connect students with opportunities and raise awareness of STEM careers. I’m also passionate about giving back through STEM outreach and currently work at the Jacobs Institute for Innovation in Education as part of College Corps to help students explore creativity and problem-solving in STEM.
