I cannot attend the full induction programme, who do I contact regarding this?

Accepted Answer

If you cannot attend the full programme, please let your recruitment officer know and also the Induction Team; Induction@wvt.nhs.uk.

This will then be re-arranged for you and we will inform you of your new date. Depending on which day you cannot attend, this may involve re-scheduling your whole induction period.

Please note, you cannot start work until you have completed your FULL induction programme

Question 2

I have not received my ESR Log in, who can I contact?

This should have been sent through to you by your Recruitment Officer around the same time that you received your Induction invitation. Please check your junk email box as it may have gone there.

If still not received or it is not working, please email WorkforceInformationSystems@wvt.nhs.uk or contact 01432 801929 and they will be able to provide you with this

How do I get a name badge?

Name badges are arranged through your line manager.

Question 4

I have sent in my photo for my ID Badge, when will this be available for me?

Accepted Answer

Your ID Badge will be created on the 1st day of your induction. A member of the EDC team will let you know when it is ready for collection from the General Office, Main Reception of the Hospital.

Question 5

How do I order my uniform?

Accepted Answer

The Education team will go through this process with you during your induction period. Sizing guides and 'try on' sets of uniform will be available before you order.

However, please note, we do not order for the below. Uniform will need to be arranged through your line manager if you work in any of these wards/departments:

AHP's
Audiology
Children's Ward
Community Wards
Dermatology
ED and A&E
MRU
Maternity
Radiology
Once delivered, the Induction Team will send you an email to inform you and arrange a time slot for you to collect from the Education Admin Office.

Question 6

I have not heard from my manager regarding my shifts, what can I do?

If you have not heard from your manager or are not aware who they are, they would have been copied into your induction invite email. Please feel free to reach out to them to introduce yourself and let them know that you have started.
Alternatively, please let a member of the EDC Team know and we can contact them for you.

Question 7

How do I get a WVT email address?

Accepted Answer

This will be arranged for you by the Education team during your Induction period along with your WVT log in details. Once set up, your details will be shared with you and Education will support you with setting this up.

Question 8

I am having problems with my e-learning, who can I contact?

Accepted Answer

In the first instance, please consult our Education LinkTree page which has many useful e-learning guides and support documents to help you with e-learning.

However, if still struggling, please email elearning@wvt.nhs.uk and support can be provided

Question 9

I am moving from another Trust, do I have to repeat my training?

Accepted Answer

No. You should not have to. This should be automatically transferred over to your WVT ESR account, please allow up to 5 working days after your start date for this. If it has not transferred over, please email induction@wvt.nhs.uk and this can be looked into for you.

Question 10

I have done my mandatory training in my previous job, can this be accepted?

Accepted Answer

This is not an automatic process and would require you to send us through a screenshot of certificates from your previous job. Once we have received these, we can then review to check if they can be accepted and will get back to you as soon as possible.

Question 11

I am booked for a session but can no longer attend, how do I cancel this?

Accepted Answer

This can be cancelled on your ESR Learner Homepage. You will need to log into your ESR and access your Learner Homepage, under the 'My E-Learning' Section.

Once on there, you will see all of the courses that you are booked for under 'My Current Instructor-Led Enrolments'. If you click on the course you wish to cancel, you will see a drop down box at the top right of the screen that says; Select an Action.

If you click on this and select Unenrol, you will then need to select a reason for cancelling. Once selected, your place will then be cancelled.
