Warm legs bundle

Mountain running bundle

There are two key pieces that you should never leave for a day outdoors without. The first is a warm hat like our Starflake Beanie that you can stash in your pocket just in case (keep your head warm and the rest of your body will thank you!). The second is a decent mid-layer fleece, like our Thermal Power Hoody. Wear it over just your base layer on warmer days, or under a shell or insulated jacket if the weather turns. It's the piece you will use for everything, from running and hiking, to climbing or just hanging out at camp.

There's nothing worse than a cold backside and legs when you're active in cold conditions, whether that's running, hiking, climbing or skiing. Sometimes a three quarter length is a better option: enter the Thermal Power Cropped leggings. Not all leggings are created equal. Our pet peeve with baselayer leggings is elasticated waistbands that dig in, scratchy labels on the inside, and cold clingy fabric. We set out to solve these problems to make the ultimate cold weather technical fleece legging. The Thermal Power Cropped Leggings are thick, soft and fleecy on the inside to keep your legs warm, with the Polartec Power Stretch® Pro™ fabric working hard to move moisture away from your skin to keep you comfortable. They are super stretchy, with a high rise to keep the warmth in (no chilly gaps between layers) but the elastic-free waistband won’t dig in. We’ve made sure of that. And if you prefer a lower rise, you can fold down the waistband to suit. The cropped length sits around mid calf (depending on how long your legs are!), so they meet your mountaineering socks and have plenty of overlap with ski socks. This helps reduce bulk around the ankle where boots can pinch (especially for women wearing technical boots designed for skinny men's ankles!). That's makes them ideal for use with ski boots and double mountaineering boots.
