Just a review for the restaurant. Food portions are really small. I understand most people would probably less than i do and it keeps food waste down, but at least asking if it was enough would be nice. Also the waiters seemed rushed, initially it almost seemed rude but maybe im imagining this.

Great location for this beautiful historic building, right next to the church. We had several double rooms for our group and one of the apartments. Historic buildings have pros and cons. As a shorter person, getting in and out of the older wooden bed was painful (literally) as the mattress didn't really provide any protection from the hard wood edges. We loved our little balcony and breakfast was in keeping with Norwegian hotel breakfasts with some eggs, sausages, beans and pancakes and deli meats and cheese, yogurt and cereal.
Room for improvement:
1. There is no lobby so if you come in a group - there is no place where you can sit and enjoy a beverage/ snack you bought outside the hotel. Even in the outdoor area outside the breakfast room.
2. Service was hit or miss. Some staff were lovely and cleaning staff was really helpful while some were less so.
When paying $150 a night, the basic expectation is that staff will politely and helpfully make guests comfortable.

A lovely hotel in the picturesque little town of Røros; practical apartments available; the bunk bed is very wobbly and not very comfortable.
