Kick It Off: On the Road with George JonesMark T. DunnPaperbackDrummer Mark T. Dunn reveals the wild antics, drugs, drink and debauchery, fun and frustration, and sometimes sweetness of the seven years that he spent backing up unpredictable country legend George Jones. In a journey that follows a young counterculture kid growing up in East Tennessee, to playing music on the sleazier sides of Atlanta and Nashville in the 1970s, to touring and performing with one of the most beloved country stars of all time during some of his most acclaimed and tumultuous years, Dunn gives the reader a sideman’s view of the country music business in the 1970s and '80s that's frank, honest and unexpected.
