It’s hard to believe the credibility of reviews posted here when you learn this team provides their clients with suggested written review content along with a $100 gift certificate. Interesting self promotion strategy.

Unfortunately when we met to discuss a property evaluation Gerry and Andrew were determined to “sell” a $350 comprehensive 40 page market analysis for estate purposes. This despite:
1. Clearly being told a certified appraiser had been hired at time of death (2 yrs ago) for probate.
2. Emphatically being told their offering was not needed or wanted; we would hire a CERTIFIED APPRAISER again if required. We were simply looking for fair price recommendations (low/med/high) to help us decide whether to buyout beneficiaries or to list in these crazy real estate times.
3. Spotting red flags when these seemingly local specialists were unaware of Ramara’s forced sewage hookup, resident uproar and impact on property values now and in the future.
4. Repeatedly demonstrating poor listening skills-- returning to their comprehensive assessment sales pitch.
5. Missing a learning opportunity; showing no curiousity or interest in digging deeper when told their presence and presentation paled in comparison to others.
6. Being the last of three agencies to respond to our initial inquiry which should have been a red flag in and of itself.

The vibe was so bad the meeting was abruptly ended and the duo were asked to leave. The clincher was when Andrew said if we didn't opt for their recommended service, all we'd get from them was a one or two line pricing synopsis.

Meanwhile…competitor realtors graciously provided comprehensive market assessments. Each a good 40+ pages. No charge. Within 24 hours. Thank you.

Maybe it was just an all round bad chemistry connection or the twosome were having a bad day. Whatever, it was easy to reach a definitive not-for-us decision.

ADDITION TO ORIGINAL POST: The Lodwick Team's response, which follows, exemplifies many of the comments made in this review. Contrary to the other agents we met with earlier that day, they chose to correspond via email rather than more immediate phone or text.

Frankly there is no point countering their defensive and accusatory reply. Suffice it to say over the years and more recently we've dealt with several top notch professional real estate agents for other properties. This is not the way we choose to do business, and reinforces our decision all the more.

That said, we wish Team Lodwick well. No doubt you will continue to find your kind of people out there.
