High School Research Student in RARE Selected for NASA SEES Program | RARE
The Rensselaer Astrobiology Research and Education (RARE) Center is excited to congratulate high school student Stella on her selection to participate in the NASA STEM Enhancement in Earth Science (SEES) internship program.Stella was selected for the in-person component of the highly competitive program, where she will focus on planetary geology. As part of the internship, she will spend two weeks this summer at The University of Texas at Austin before continuing the remainder of the program online.

The Rensselaer Astrobiology Research and Education (RARE) Center is proud to congratulate local high school student Makaila on earning First Place in the Earth and Environmental Sciences category at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Phoenix, Arizona.Makaila received the top award for her project, “Investigating the Stability of Prebiotic Uracil Under the Conditions of Impact-Generated Terrestrial Hydrothermal Systems,” earning a $6,000 prize in recognition of her outstanding research achievement.
