Finding Your Calm: A Responsive Parent's Guide to Self-Regulation and Co-Regulation PDF
This e-book combines my knowledge of child development, brain science and trauma to offer parents a unique resource that includes lots of exercises, reflections, insights and also… links to additional research, articles and videos that can help support your learning. This book is written with the intention of supporting parents in developing the skills they need to co-regulate with their child and meet their emotional needs. It is based on my own healing journey, through parenting and so it is written with compassion for parents and children. We were all children once and that little person still lives inside us, trying to be seen and heard. Parenting often makes that connection to our little selves, hard to ignore.

Connect Instead of Correct PDF
We can connect instead of correct. I have taken the Connect Instead of Correct Challenge Workshop Series and turned it into a book. Why?! Because I basically explain how to connect instead of correct in most of the common scenarios that parents ask about. Some topics covered - Bedtime - Getting ready in the morning - Out in public (public dysregulation, material wants, impatience, incentives vs. rewards) - Mealtimes - Messes - Aggression - “Rude” behaviour - Safety concerns And so much more… I also explain the “why” behind all this, including a lot of links to research and additional resources to support your learning. Even if you aren’t ready for the challenge, the book will help you understand this approach in a way I just can’t teach via social media posts.

Co-Regulation Exercises
This printable download is one of my most popular books. Parents enjoy sharing the poems and exercises with their children. Many people have sent me photos of the printables hanging in their child's play room, calm corner or bedroom. It's an honour to have my work hung in such sacred and special places. These printable co-regulation exercises will help you and your child learn co-regulation and emotional intelligence skills together. PDF download. Please include your email.

The Principles of Responsive Parenting
The Principles are based on an ideal, not reality. Two things to consider: 1. We can follow all the principles, perfectly and still our children will be exposed to other people, environments and experiences, that impact them. 2. Nobody… even the creator of these principles, can follow them perfectly, all the time. In light of this, try to see these principles as inspiration, not criticism. These principles are what Responsive Parents are striving for, but often we aren’t able to fully meet these goals/principles and that’s ok. We can set smaller goals and/or just accept that mistakes are part of the healing and learning process.
