Push in the Right Direction is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit delivering free, author-led events to disadvantaged schools and organizations to foster youth self-sufficiency through literacy, entrepreneurship, and life skills. Our literacy program centers on Three Pillars: 1. Literacy (Inspiring a Love for Reading): Interactive events like "Storytime Extravaganza" bring books to life through readings and songs, making reading exciting while teaching social-emotional skills like empathy, self-esteem, and resilience. 2. Creativity (Empowering Self-Expression): Behind-the-scenes workshops like "Exploring the Publishing Process" guide youth through writing and publishing to help them express their ideas, build confidence, and develop critical thinking. 3. Education (Expanding Horizons): Programs like "Teen Talk" introduce mindsets and practical life skills—including emotional regulation and financial literacy—to show youth that their future options are unlimited.
