I am a plastic surgeon and a full professor of plastic surgery at the University of Helsinki. As a professor, I am responsible for teaching plastic surgery to undergradutate medical students and training specialists. In my free time, 'plastiikkaope' is my alter ego on social media. The story of plastiikkaope in English Plasticsteacher began in 2020 when I wasn't entirely satisfied with how I was teaching medical students. There was too little time, and I felt that many important aspects were left unaddressed. I had never been active on social media before, but I figured it couldn't be too difficult. So, I took the plunge and created the plastiikkaope account. My first post made its way into the world on May 26, 2020. That first video post was titled: 'The Thread Comes Out of the Package.'
