Heather Hester

Heather Hester is the creator and host of the three-time Women in Podcasting Award-winning podcast More Human. More Kind. and author of Parenting with Pride. She is a speaker, writer, and coach helping parents, allies, and organizations find their way from fear to something that actually feels like love. Her work started with a phone call. When her son came out as gay in 2017, Heather's first words were a relieved "Thank god, I thought you were dead." What followed was years of unlearning and honest conversation — and the realization that most parents just needed someone to tell them the truth without shame attached. Today that work lives in a podcast, a private community, one-on-one coaching, consulting, and speaking. Heather lives outside Chicago with her husband, four kids, and one very opinionated mini Bernedoodle. She makes a mean bowl of gumbo and believes belonging isn't just a feeling — it's a practice.
