Leander Vandereecken and Olivier Vander Bauwede, both from Ghent, are two passionate blues and roots musicians. Together they form an acoustic duo with guitar, harmonica, and vocals. Their collaboration started at Missy Sippy, where they play a key role in the local scene. Leander, known from A Murder In Mississippi, has made his mark as a vocalist and guitarist. Olivier, a versatile multi-instrumentalist and virtuoso harmonica player, has worked with artists such as Roland Van Campenhout, Ian Siegal, Absynthe Minded, and Sylvie Kreusch. In February 2024 they released their debut EP Live From Room 13, nominated for a Blues Award as ‘Best Album’. The duo won ‘Best Duo’, Leander was awarded ‘Best Vocalist’, and Olivier was nominated as ‘Best Instrumentalist’. Following their successful 2024 - 2025 tour, they now focus on a new chapter: in 2026 they will release their first full-length LP.
