1:1 Trauma Informed consultation

A trauma-informed consultation is a structured conversation or collaborative process designed to help individuals understand and respond to the impact of trauma. It integrates the principles of trauma-informed care, safety, trust, choice, collaboration, and empowerment to ensure that people feel supported, respected, and not re-traumatized during the process. Rather than focusing solely on “what’s wrong,” a trauma-informed consultation asks “what has happened and what is needed for healing and resilience?” Benefits of Trauma-Informed Consultation Enhanced Safety & Trust: Creates a supportive environment where people feel seen, heard, and validated. Improved Relationships: Strengthens communication and collaboration by fostering empathy and understanding. Reduced Risk of Re-Traumatization: Promotes practices that avoid inadvertently causing harm. Increased Resilience: Helps individuals and identify strengths and develop effective coping strategies. Better Outcomes: Whether in clinical, educational, workplace, or community settings, trauma-informed approaches often lead to improved engagement, performance, and well-being. * Please note you will be required to be in a quiet, confidential space * All information discussed is confidential
