What kind of PC do you use for your modeling?

I use the Beelink EQR5 Mini PC model (16 GB of RAM) which is currently under $300. If you'd like to check it out, you can find it and alternative ones in the Shop tab. It can run heavily modded Minecraft and Sims 4 on relatively high graphics and I'm able to sculpt models a bit over 3.5 million tris without lagging. I also have added the fan I use to keep it cool to the shop collection.

I want to get into 3D Modeling, but don't know where to start, any tips?

Accepted Answer

- Your free software options are Blockbench and Blender.
- Use Blockbench if: You just want to try it, your computer is low end, you like pixel/low poly styles, and/or you want to start with a simple software.
- Use Blender if: Your computer is mid-end or higher, you're ready to explore complicated concepts, and/or you're not intimidated by its user interface.
- 3D Modeling is very technical, jumping into it without basic knowledge is a waste of time. Visit my YouTube channel and go to the Playlists tab to see videos I recommend.
- Don't get into it if your only motivation is money, it's hard without passionate motivation.
- Don't rely on just tutorials and push yourself to a reasonable degree. Speed modeling videos can be helpful for picking up good habits from other modelers.
