Amine Kaous

Amine Kaous is a music producer, composer, sound engineer and hardware performer behind Kaos Engineering, an umbrella project bringing together his different approaches to sound creation. His work sits at the intersection of technical precision, sound research and a deeply rooted understanding of electronic music culture. His musical identity has been shaped by several generations of electronic music: from musique concrète, early electronic experimentation and synthesizer pioneers to the foundations of electro, house and techno; from Detroit and Chicago to Berlin, dub techno, minimalism, IDM, industrial music and contemporary raw and hypnotic techno. His references span decades, revealing an interest not only in rhythm and dancefloor functionality, but also in texture, space, repetition, tension and experimentation.
