Jon Dalgaard

Jon is a London-based Danish-Australian screenwriter, excelling at character-driven comedy and action adventure. He was also Lead Writer on RABBIT ACADEMY, an animated series for German studio Akkord Films which he also helped to develop, and is now writing a TBA animated feature and developing a new animated series for Akkord Film.. He has also developed projects for Cake, Norlum, Tumblehead, Distillery Films, Visionality, Mint Cph, and Daily Madness to name a few. He has written on TAFFY (CBBC), MONSTER LOVING MANIACS (CBBC), 100% WOLF: LEGEND OF THE MOONSTONE (ABC), and KITTY IS NOT A CAT (Seven). Jon’s animated series concept KARYN SPLITTER: ALIEN SITTER won the Disney Channel Prize at MIFA Pitches in Annecy. He co-created BEDHEAD, a live-action short-form comedy series which aired on ABC for which he received an Australian Writer’s Guild nomination. Jon decided to become a writer at the tender age of six after his parents laughed heartily for several minutes at a short story he had written. The story was not a comedy.
