Fennel and Finch Restuarant has a lot to learn about service. The decor was good with a lovely view of Table mountain and the Harbour. We were invited to a birthday party but they could not deliver the promises made for the snacks ordered. They did  not have enough side plates, and only three scone platters. The hostess was extremely embarrassed for the service delivered to her guest. I trust they can step up their service. Thank you

I would like to share my sincere disappointment with my experience this evening at The Botanist's Table. I had a reservation for 18h30 and spent more than an hour in traffic to get there. When I arrived, I could not find any parking due to the Stormers rugby game at the DHL Stadium.\

I informed reception about the situation, hoping for some guidance or an alternative, but no assistance was offered. After circling the area without success, I had no choice but to cancel my reservation.

It was a frustrating and avoidable experience. A venue of this standard should anticipate major events in the area and communicate parking challenges or provide practical solutions. I left without ever stepping inside, which is not how an evening out should begin or end.

The Table Bay Hotel in Cape Town has consistently delivered an exceptional experience every time I’ve stayed there. The staff are warm and attentive, ensuring every visit is memorable. The rooms are spacious, luxurious, and offer breathtaking views that truly enhance the stay. The hotel’s prime location, right by the V&A Waterfront, makes it incredibly convenient to explore the city’s top attractions.

From the impeccable service to the five-star amenities, every detail reflects excellence. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here while it’s still around—it’s an experience not to be missed!

Overall a great hotel. Breakfast is excellent and service is consistently excellent. Gym is small but clean and well maintained. For  Cape Town, price is a bit high but quality is top notch. One of the better Intercontinentals I have stayed at.

Cape Town is a fantastic city and in this city this hotel has a fantastic location.
The staff is very helpful with all they do.
I was unlucky to get a suit that I was even lucky enough to get upgraded to.
However this hotel is getting a bit dated and the issue I had was with temperature control. Not a big fan of hot bed rooms

My husband and I stayed at IHC Table Bay Cape Town for 4 nights at the end of April 2026, along with my brothers and their partners in two additional rooms. From when we arrived at the car park and were greeted by Thalio, to the warm reception we received from Miranda and Samantha at the check-in, and to all those who helped us at breakfast (Pamela, Zimkitha and others), and Jade who served us in the bar, and Celes who secured our last minute request for a large table at Bistro de Jan, we were VERY well taken care of here. The hotel has just undergone an extensive remodel, and the finishes and decor are exquisite. We had a room on the 4th floor with a full view of Table Mountain. Room had plenty of USB A/C charging ports as well as outlets thoughtfully placed throughout. Bed was very comfortable, and there was no exterior or neighbor noise we could hear in the room. The breakfast buffet was 5 star with lots and lots of options and attentive service. We had an issue one night, and spoke to the hotel manager about it the next morning, and it was immediately addressed and resolved. Kudos to Melissa Hugo and her team for their five star service level.
