Josh comes from a musical background, having learnt instruments (piano/trumpet/drums) from a young age - he eventually picked up electronic production and deejaying during early teenage years. At this time, relocating from the Eastern Cape to Cape Town ZA. Josh has gained experience in the music scene in Cape Town for the past 4 years, with his first residency at Pot Plant Club on Bree, and now often performs at various events in and around the city, including: Champagne, Elevation, NTSC, Killer Robot, XYLEM, Audio Imprint and Kyle Russouw Invites all at MODULAR cpt, as well as OnePark, Just Between Us (JBU), FOUR FOUR among many others. Furger has also made some appearances at festivals such as Hotboxed's Thank Me Later, Smalltown Beat, Pangea and Wanderbay. A couple years ago Josh released independent EP's and albums online, and is now featured on local CPT labels including Hotboxed and Safe Tapes. Expect more frequent releases in the year 2026.
