Free Michael Kimble

Michael Kimble is a Black gay incarcerated writer and organizer, who at the age of 21 was unjustly kidnapped and captured by the state after defending himself and his friend against a racist and homophobic attack. For nearly 40 years, Michael has been held captive by the Alabama Department of Corrections. In spite of this, Michael has been involved in efforts to free himself and others by assisting in legal defense, organizing reading groups, and helping to organize alongside the Free Alabama Movement.
