Our team is working on advancements in electric vehicles. Electric Vehicles are an important technology, which is still maturing. The associated control systems are often complex and proprietary. This allows Electric Vehicle manufacturers to charge exorbitant prices for replacement components. In years to come, our project aims to alleviate this issue by making electric car technologies more accessible by developing a fully open-source motor control system. To expand, this year we aimed to develop the traction inverter. A traction inverter is one of the three main components in an Electric Vehicle. It converts raw DC power from an Electric Vehicle's battery into usable AC power that the electric motor or motors can actually use. It is also responsible for controlling motor speed and torque, making it essential for efficient vehicle operation.
