As someone coming from a low income family, fast fashion was an alternative way for me to appear trendy while spending less than how it was before indulging myself in fast fashion. However, financially able individuals decided to poke their nose into this industry as well, ruining one of the best things I could have. Fast fashion was a way for the poor to afford decent clothes, now it appears as an industry that brings waste and toxicity to the environment as well as society. Due to this, high demands for expensive clothes to be made again to restore the damage done by the industry. Unfortunately, this makes it harder for certain groups of families to purchase clothing. Hence, we should find ways to coexist and apply the ultimate solution where the poor can afford the clothes and the environment as well as human health are at an all time safe.
