Each speech and role has set time limits. The timer uses green (qualified), yellow (target), and red (max limit) signals. You must speak for at least the minimum time to qualify for awards.

You can deliver project speeches from your Pathways path, as well as optional speeches like special occasions, humorous speeches, or educational sessions.

Can I do a non-Pathways speech?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Just inform the VP Education. However, Pathways speeches are needed for your official Toastmasters certification and growth.

Toastmaster of the Day: Leads the meeting, manages time, and guides speakers.

Evaluator: Gives feedback to help speakers grow.

Table Topics Master: Runs impromptu speaking sessions to boost spontaneity.

Table Topics Speaker: Answers impromptu questions to practice quick thinking.

Grammarian: Monitors language and introduces the Word of the Day.

Ah-Counter: Tracks filler words to improve speech fluency.

Timer: Keeps track of speaking times to keep meetings on schedule.

General Evaluator: Reviews meeting and provides overall feedback.

Wordmaster: Shares a new word to expand vocabulary.

How can I grow by taking different roles?

Each role strengthens a different skill—confidence, communication, leadership, evaluation, and time management. Rotating through roles gives you well-rounded growth.

Yes! We love guests. Share our meeting link or flyer. They can attend as observers or even try Table Topics if they’re comfortable.

Let them know it’s friendly, relaxed, and zero-pressure. They’ll get to see prepared speeches, impromptu speaking, and evaluations.
