Born and raised in Dakar, Senegal until age 18, Nao carries music in his DNA. Son of a renowned pianist who founded one of West Africa’s first jazz and classical festivals, he inherited a legacy of rhythm and emotion. Taught piano at age four, he grew up surrounded by African and Afro-Caribbean sounds, jazz, soul, hip hop, and R&B. Nao’s journey began in 2016 within the Kizomba/Afro-Caribbean dance scene as a DJ and later as a reknown Producer. His sets and collaborations fused rhythms and identities from across the PALOP world and West Africa. After years of touring internationally, Nao is now embracing a new chapter—transitioning his artistry toward the deeper, expressive sounds of Afro House & Afro Tech, where heritage meets innovation. Based in Brussels, Nao brought his unmistakable energy to venues like Spirito, Jalousy, Imperial and Ampere, crafting immersive experiences. As he steps into a new chapter, Nao is ready to rise, evolve and inspire.
