Emerging as one of Australia’s most enchanting new voices, Cooper Lower is a Melbourne-based folk artist carrying the flame of influences such as Lior, Hozier, Ben Howard and Joni Mitchell. 

Initially bursting onto the international folk scene as a virtuosic fingerstyle guitarist, Cooper spent years captivating audiences throughout the world with his songs and stories on renowned stages such as Queenscliff Music Festival, Tollwood Winterfestival (DE), Port Fairy Folk Festival, Melbourne International Guitar Night and Fretmonkey Records Guitarist Showcase (NY). A textbook folk troubadour, Cooper was twice named finalist for Folk Alliance’s Youth Artist of the Year.   During COVID, Lower transitioned into collaborative work and took a three year hiatus from his artist project. In 2024 he returned with Conversations, a five track EP recorded with renowned Polish producer/film composer Kris Gorski. 

A multi-disciplinary artist, Cooper also works extensively as a songwriter and producer.
