The Black and Minority Ethnic

The BMEYPP is a youth-led community project that empowers black, brown and mixed heritage young people aged 11-25, who live, work or study in Brighton & Hove or Sussex. We provide: an inclusive safe space where young people feel heard and welcomed; opportunities for young people to access information, advice and guidance; drop-in sessions every Wednesday in Hove; trips and events over the school holidays. We promote: friendship and understanding through creative group events led by the young people, and through cooking meals to share and bond over. We want: young people to feel safe from racism and bullying, and able to talk about these issues freely if they wish.
