Book a 45-Minute Private Consultation — £60 GBP / €70 EUR / $80 USD
Book a session with me:
Coaching with Cards: Life and Spiritual Coaching with or without Cartomancy (your choice of playing or tarot cards; other divinatory methods also available).
45-minute consultation — £60
I offer private, one-to-one tarot readings, drawing on around ten years' experience with the cards.
Appointments are booked in one-hour slots, with around 45 minutes for the reading itself. The remaining time lets me make notes, have a cup of tea, use the loo and reset before seeing someone else. When it's your turn, you have my full attention.
The fee is £60, payable when you book.
You may find it helpful to bring a notebook and think beforehand about anything you'd like to explore. You don't need a perfectly formed question. The session is your time.
A LIMITED PERIOD OF PRACTICE:
I'm opening my diary for private readings from September to December.
This is an experiment. I'm testing the waters and, importantly, my own capacity for regular one-to-one work. At the end of December, I'll close the diary, reflect on how it's gone and decide what comes next.
This isn't the launch of a spiritual business. I don't currently offer readings as a year-round commercial service.
I'm a discretionary practitioner. I practise when I have the capacity and circumstances to do the work well, and there may be long periods when I don't offer readings at all.
Booking an appointment gives you my time, attention and expertise for that session. It doesn't create an ongoing practitioner-client relationship or guarantee future availability.
WHAT HAPPENS IN A SESSION?:
A Celtic Cross spread is a good starting point, followed by clarifying pulls where something remains unclear or further questions emerge.
It's a structure, not a rule. We can follow the conversation and what comes up.
You can also use the session to discuss a spiritual or life matter without the cards. In that case, we'll approach it as a coaching or spiritual consultation. Other divination tools may sometimes be appropriate too.
With or without the cards, you're paying for my time, attention and expertise — not for the cards, nor for the mysteries themselves.
RETURNING CLIENTS:
I don't accept another booking from the same client within three months of their previous reading.
This is a firm boundary.
A reading needs room to breathe. You need time afterwards to reflect, make your own decisions and let circumstances develop. Repeated readings, particularly about the same situation, can encourage dependence on the reader rather than trust in your own judgement.
I don't want my income to depend on that kind of relationship.
My hope is that you leave a session better equipped to navigate things yourself, not feeling that you need to come back next week.
ACCESSIBILITY AND INCLUSION:
There shouldn't be a class or income barrier to quality spiritual guidance.
People can find themselves called to complicated spiritual paths while living in poverty or going through serious financial hardship. Spiritual need doesn't conveniently arrive according to your bank balance.
My practice is poverty-informed, trauma-aware, kink-aware and LGBTQIA+ inclusive. It's shaped by feminist, post-structural and decolonial approaches, and rooted in Scottish and Irish-Scottish spirituality.
People don't arrive for spiritual guidance separately from the realities of their lives. Poverty, class, gender, sexuality, disability, culture, family, trauma, relationships and power can all shape the questions we ask.
I aim to offer a space where people can talk frankly about their lives, relationships and spiritual experiences without having to make themselves respectable first.
I won't treat unconventionality as pathology, wealth as evidence of spiritual merit or hardship as spiritual failure. I also won't use spiritual explanations to dismiss material realities, discrimination, abuse or structural inequality.
My practice is rooted in my own spiritual inheritance. I don't claim ownership of traditions that aren't mine, and I won't treat other people's cultures as spiritual commodities.
IF YOU CAN'T AFFORD A READING:
If you're genuinely in need of guidance but don't have the means to pay my usual fee, please contact me.
When my circumstances allow, I may be able to offer a reduced-fee or pro bono reading.
You won't be asked for bank statements or expected to prove that you're poor enough to deserve help. Nor do you need to disclose unnecessary details about your circumstances. I simply ask that you approach this in good faith, as my capacity to offer these sessions is limited.
Financial hardship doesn't diminish your dignity.
GIFT A READING:
You can purchase a reading for someone you know, or you can give one simply for the general good.
A gift for the general good lets you act as an angel of mercy for a stranger who needs guidance but can't afford it. I think of it as hospitality by the wayside: leaving something useful for a person you don't know and may never meet.
I'll use the gift, at my discretion, when I encounter someone for whom I believe the reading would be appropriate and helpful.
If your gift is used, I'll let you know. I won't tell you who received it or disclose anything about their circumstances, questions or reading.
The gift doesn't buy influence over who receives it, and it doesn't buy access to their story.
The gift is complete in the giving.
ONLINE SESSIONS:
Readings are currently available by Google Meet or Signal video call. Choose whichever you prefer.
If you don't use Google for ethical, privacy or other reasons, Signal gives you a non-Google option with the same 45-minute session.
If neither works for you, get in touch and I'll see whether we can find an accessible alternative.
Zoom is also possible, but sessions are currently limited to 40 minutes because of the restrictions on my present Zoom set-up.
The fee remains £60 regardless of platform. You're paying for the appointment and my expertise, not buying divination by the minute.
PAYMENT CANCELLATION AND RESCHEDULING:
Payment is made in full when you book.
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please give me at least 24 hours' notice wherever possible.
People get ill. Emergencies happen. Appointments get misremembered. Sometimes life just goes sideways.
If you realise you can't attend, even at the last minute, please email me. Your wellbeing is more important than an appointment.
Changes with less than 24 hours' notice will normally incur a £10 rescheduling fee, although I may waive this in exceptional circumstances.
And please don't avoid contacting me because you're embarrassed about forgetting an appointment. A genuine mistake is something we can usually sort out.
My time matters too. Repeated missed appointments, very late cancellations or misuse of the booking system may mean I can't accept future bookings from you.
The point of these boundaries is to keep the practice humane and sustainable, not to punish people when life goes wrong.
CONFIDENTIALITY AND SCOPE:
What you discuss with me is confidential, but our conversations aren't legally privileged. I also can't promise confidentiality where I'm legally required to disclose information.
If something arises that's outside my knowledge or scope of practice, I'll tell you. Where appropriate, I may signpost you towards another practitioner, service or qualified professional who's better placed to help.
Tarot and spiritual consultation can offer reflection, perspective and guidance. They aren't substitutes for appropriate medical, psychological, legal or financial advice.
WHAT I WON'T DO:
I won't tell you that you need another reading.
I won't frighten you into buying further services, pressure you to return or tell you that you need to purchase additional spiritual work from me.
I won't cultivate dependence on me or present myself as having authority over your decisions.
Your life remains yours. Your decisions remain yours.
Take what is useful from a reading and leave what isn't.
ALSO:
Please note that spiritual consultations — with or without cartomancy or other forms of divination — are offered for entertainment, personal reflection and spiritual exploration. They aren't substitutes for medical, psychological, legal or financial advice.
I won't, under any circumstances, perform divination concerning the sex, health or destiny of an unborn child. I may also decline to divine on particular questions where doing so would conflict with my vocational restrictions or ethics.
Where possible, I'll work with you to rephrase the question so that we can explore the underlying concern without crossing those boundaries. If we can't find an appropriate way to do that, I'll refund your booking fee.
