We truly appreciated Joanna’s involvement and responsiveness throughout the process. She was kind, attentive, and we believe she had the best of intentions in helping our family find a new home for our grandmother. However, we do feel misled by how the facility was represented to us.

We were told - verbatim - that the facility would be a "night and day" difference from where we were coming from. In reality, the experience has felt more like "night and dusk," with consistent disappointments and limited action or communication from the facility to address concerns.

While Joanna herself was wonderful to work with, it feels as though we were told whatever was necessary to get us through the door of that facility, and once placement was made, ongoing concerns have been left unaddressed, and we are now on our own to deal with them.

We appreciate the help we received, but families should be aware that it’s important to continue asking hard questions and maintaining realistic expectations throughout the process.

It is scary and overwhelming to make the decision to place your loved one into a memory care facility. I am thankful for Joanna and the service she provides. She is able to continually evaluate, form a relationship with and make a list of facilities that provide excellent care. She is knowledgeable about the financial concerns regarding this decision and can help navigate that. She would tour facilities with me to provide support and answer whatever questions/concerns I had. Working with Joanna enabled me to make an educated decision when I felt I was ready and it was the right time for my loved one. I highly recommend Joanna and the services she provides through Assisted Living Navigators.

What a gift Assisted Living Navigators was and continues to be for the decisions around the process of transitioning to Assisted Living for our Mother! Just to have the experience Joanna offered us with regard to vaious potential facilities, home health options and home transition specialists was incredibly valuable. Joanna's "hands on" approach has been so helpful, as she visited in our home, spent time with our Mom and advised us with humility and honesty based on her assessment and experience. Many of the questions, for which we had no answer, became clear to us in the process; and the result is that Mom is receiving the care she needs in a facility that truly meets her needs. We will be forever grateful!
