The Mature Students "MSA" is here to support mature students at the University of Adelaide. We face different challenges to the regular cohort on campus and often have to juggle work and family commitments alongside study.

We recognise this and find that peer support really helps. Many of our members like to base themselves in the Mature Students Lounge where there are quiet places to study and areas to mingle or just relax and recharge. There are also kitchen facilities with tea and coffee provided.

We have regular meetings throughout the year to organise lunches, morning teas and social events.

Our members span a broad range of ages from across all the faculties and we welcome both undergraduate and postgraduate mature students.

What are “Speed Study Sessions”?
Utilising the Pomodoro Technique (25 minutes of study + 5-minute break), we will “speed study” in manageable time increments to help you keep on top of your coursework.

When do “Speed Study Sessions” run?
During TEACHING WEEKS ONLY. Monday to Friday (all weekdays during the semester excluding non-teaching weeks and public holidays.) Between 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. The running time is 2 hours per session. Drop-in style session, no need to sign up.
