Cameras

Replay Review Live uses a minimum of 3 primary cameras. The 1st two cameras will be behind the backstop looking down each foul line, & the 3rd camera will be the POV of the Base Umpire (attached to his hat). This 2nd camera angle, will give a closer & more credible look at plays, than cameras setup further away!

Going to Review

The Replay Review Official & or Non-Calling Umpire, will then go to the iPad near the backstop. He/she will then plug in the camera(s), open the video, & review the challenged play! He/she will then (Depending on the Rule Set) either use Indisputable Video Evidence OR an Informed Judgement, when reveiwing the play - to either CHANGE or CONFIRM the call. And in less than 1- 3 minutes total, he/she will make a call, & resume play!

What does Multi-Field mean exactly?

Replay Review Live offers the worlds FIRST Multi-Field, Replay Review Service! This means your tournament can have between 1 - 12+ fields that have Replay Review Available, for mutiple games, at the same time! 🤯

Do you only provide a Service? Is there a Product?

Replay Review offers 2 main ways of utilizing our Replay.  Option 1 ~ Our Service Side: A Crew of Trained Replay Officals will attend your event, setup our equipment, & perform full Replay Reviews on multiple fields— by controling the Technology AND Reviewing the play, & providing the final Replay Verdict. (Most organizations opt in for 2 days, 8-10 fields, on all bracket play games.) Option 2 ~ If your’re a NCAA Program, or another organization that would like to have Replay on only 1 FIELD at a time, we offer our Replay as a product called, ‘On The Go’. You’ll be able to select 1 of 5 options. And each option would depend on whether you’d plan on upgrading your existing Replay System, or Fully Implementing our Replay Review System. How is everything setup?

Before the event starts, our Replay Review Official will set up every field’s Cameras, & setup a charging station in the middle of the fileds This is where Umpires will recieve & return their POV camera every game.

Why a POV Camera?

Accessibility, Affordability, & Practicality. Having any other cameras (besides the backstop) either manned or not, is just about Impossible to satisfy all 3 criterias effectively, at the same time. More importantly, ‘Non-Elevated Side-Cameras’ will at many times not give the viewable angles needed to review a call.

Do we need internet or power at all?

No Internet, & the only power that is needed is at the RRL Table, where the roational-cameras will be charged by our Replay Review OffcialS, using an outlet.

What if it Rains!?😱

Don’t worry, all equipment is weatherproof! That includes rain & high temperatures! In the event, the Tournament rains out — if two replay rounds were not complete, there will be a full refund issued.

How many Days is the entire Service?

Most tournament structures are set up with the last day of the tournament being bracket play & single elimination, with some having even 2 days of bracket play. So our services are capable of spanning mutlple day.

What happens if a game gets canceled? Or Teams drop out?

Accepted Answer

Firstly, before our services are used, there will be a simple agreement to help keep record of important information such as Pricing, total games played, etc. If Teams drop last second, this can be adjusted up until the start of the tournament. But once the tournament starts, the only refundable games will be games that are cancelled due to Wheather.

Can we Lease your system permanently at our Tournaments & or Complex?

Who Operates the Replay Review?

We know Practicality & being a fast are vital. Thats why we’ve created a super simple process, where the cameras record on there own & when radio’d to a field, the Replay Official(s) simply plug in & Reviews the play!

How long does it take to overturn a Call?

We know Tournament ganes usually have time limits, & like to stay on schedule! So we’ve made sure that a call can be Reviewed in 1:30-3:00 Minutes!

Are there any checks and balances?

Of course quite a few.  Firstly, it’s important to note that we take pride in our team’s integrity. That is important to each and every one of us, especially with most being umpires. 2nd, our Replay Officials do not know the initial call on the field, just the location & type of play. This allows us to be neutral, unbiased, & unable to even purposely overturn the call, to — “make the company look better”.   3rdly, we have a Replay Analysis Board, made up of high level offcials from across the country, who are able to vote on controversial & disputed plays. The main Goal for RRL, is to Get the Call Right!

What if the Camera gets hit or moved?

Not a problem, just notify the Replay Review Official. (RRO) They will get if fixed asap without having to stop the game!

What happens if there are Technical Difficulties?

Technical Difficulties & Camera Malfunctions will happen in all walks of life. If somehow BOTH individual cameras & or iPad malfunction during the game, Umpires should not delay the game, & simply notify the RRO, return the Teams Challenge, & Resume Play!

How much does the camera weight?  And Will I notice it on my hat?

For us Umpires, the weight of the Camera & Mount together is 2.5oz (79g). For reference, 1 pound is 16oz (453g) So while you’ll notice it on your hat, there is no concern for discomfort!

Who makes the final Ruling?

Our Replay Team is trained in our Replay System & Technology, many in which are high level Umpires. Though we give the option for a hybrid option, most of our organizations opt in for our team to control the technology & make the final ruling for each review. (Which we strongly suggest)

Whats the difference between Advanced Package & Basic Package?

The vast majority of NCAA Programs do not have Replay Implemented.  And many who do, alot of times the camera angles & quality of the video still arn’t reliable enough to Get the Call Right. So— Our BASIC Package ~ takes our system, & integrates it with a Programs already existing Replay. This adds an entirely new Replay Angle, to Get the Call Right. — Our ADVANCED Package ~ Fully Implements our Replay Review System, for teams who haven’t been able to afford it.

How much does our Program have to pay for Replay?

Standard Replay companies cost $8k-12k, then Thoudands per year… OURS cost about $2500 if you’re fully implementing our Replay. $1800 if you’re adding on / upgrading your Replay.

Can we use the “On The Go” Product for our Multi-Field Tournament?

No, only for chanpionship games. Our ‘On The Go’ Product can only support 1-2 games per day. If you’d like Replay on all fields & more than 2 games per day, you’ll have to email us for our costs.

Once we aquire Replay, then what?

Once you buy our Replay Review Package — we will work very close with whomever you designate to be in charge of your Replay Review or Media. We’ll send them all the training videos they would need to be able to control the technology.
