How do I get selected to run Mid-State Mile?

Accepted Answer

There is no lottery. When registration opens every runner goes to the waitlist, and after 72 hours we begin confirming spots in this order:

1. Returning Mid-State runners
2. Tennessee Mile participants
3. Current coaching athletes 
4. Handpicked spots
5. Golden Ticket Race winners
6. Open waitlist                                                         For first timers your best path in: run the Tennessee Mile in December. Same course and show up once and move up the line.

How do I register and when does registration open?

Ultrasignup is the website we use for registration. Registration opens at noon central time January 1st.

Can I checkout or train on the course before the race?

Accepted Answer

We have a trail club that is specifically for this reason you must be a member. It is a dollar a month and it will give you access to training on the Murder Mile you can join by visiting our Patreon or becoming a subscriber on Instagram however, we currently recommend Patreon over Instagram. Search for the BMFJ Events Trail Club.
