The term Head Strong often comes with negative connotations but for me it encompasses a mentality and way of living embodied by courage, self love and a desire to be the best version of ourselves. 

Head Strong to me represents drive, determination and an unrelenting will that says whatever life throws at me, whether it be physical or mental, I will find a way. It is a spirit, I believe exists within us all and embodies a desire to live life on our own terms. 

Head Strong represents both my physical and mental health battles. I have experienced first hand the benefits of physical health and exercise on mental wellbeing and I believe that just like our bodies, the mind too should also be nurtured, grown, developed and challenged. 

I set up HeadStrong to share my journey and to coach and mentor others on theirs. It is my goal to create a space that combines physical and mental health, fosters strength and toughness in both and gives people the tools to live life on their own terms! 

ABOUT HEAD STRONG

Since I was a young the two biggest constants in my life have been Sport/Exercise and Mental Health. Soccer was my main passion but I tried most sports and later in life I found the gym. It became my lifeline, a place where I could challenge myself physically and quiten my chaotic mind even just temporarily. My love for sport and exercise was always there but so to was my struggles and battles with my own mental health, battles I still fight today. 

I have always found life and my place/purpose in it, hard to navigate.  Negative and dark inner thoughts and feelings making day to day living/functioning an unrelenting  fight at times. Iv been on the edge numerous times , in the darkest of places, where hope is non existent. I know what it's like to feel helpless, like life is happening to you and you have no control, overwhelmed, in pain, surviving not living. 

These experiences have made me deeply passionate about both the mind and body and helping others on their wellbeing journey's.

MY STORY 

I have always believed that the mind and body are inherently linked and both equally as vital for overall wellbeing and qaulity of life. 

I have experienced first hand the impact physical health and exercise has on the mind and also the power of the mind and our own inner thoughts to effect how we feel physically. Excercise has given me a sense of purpose, pride and self esteem in the darkest of times and allowed me to challenge how I see myself and what I'm capable of. Its been peace in times of chaos and a constant I can control even when all around me seems out of control. Coupled with working on myself mentally and facing those demons, it's allowed me to realise that my life matters and I am stronger than I know. 

When I was on that edge or in those dark spaces I always said if I can survive this I want to try help others to make sure they don't feel this same pain or at least to know they are not alone, someone does care and there is light even in the darkest places. 






MY REASON WHY

My mission and the mission of Head Strong is to help people grow, nurture and develop both their physical health and their mental wellbeing. I want to provide a safe and nurturing environment where people can challenge themselves not only in pursuit of physical goals but mentally too in terms of exploring their mind, thoughts, feelings and emotions in a way that promotes overall wellbeing, healing and growth. 

Head Strong aims to not only advocate for and promote physical and mental wellbeing but also educate people on the importance of focusing on both together. 

Through my years of experience in exercise and the many mental health battles I have faced, I am determined to help people see their self worth and to understand the absolute necessity of working on both your body and mind in pursuit of a fulfilling life. 

You are tougher and stronger than you know. You are not helpless, you can and you must fight back like your life depends on it.....Because it does!!
