Hi, I’m Charlie Patton, co-owner of Faith & Flame BBQ. I’m a baptized believer from San Antonio, a follower of Jesus Christ, and currently studying diesel mechanics. While pursuing a career in the trades, my true passion has always been barbecue — a gift I believe comes from God.

That passion was sparked and shaped by the guidance of my coach and mentors, Janell McMullen and Kaden Blake, a 2-time BBQ World Champion and owner of KB Outdoor Kitchen, whose support helped lay the foundation for my journey in competitive barbecue. I’ve had the blessing of cooking twice at the San Antonio Rodeo BBQ Cook-Off, qualifying twice for the Texas High School State BBQ Championship, and placing 6th and 9th at the National High School BBQ Championship.

Along the way, I’ve met some of the biggest names in the BBQ world — including well-known seasoning and product makers — whose encouragement and example fueled my love for the craft

My name is Anthony Breaux, and I’m proud to be from Spring Branch, Texas. I currently work at Take 5 Oil Change and live a life rooted in my Christian faith. I was baptized at a young age and strive every day to walk in God's purpose with integrity and humility.

Barbecue has been a part of my life since I was 8 years old, when I first learned from my grandfather. That early experience sparked a passion that’s only grown stronger with time. For me, BBQ is more than just food — it’s a way to bring people together, serve my community, and honor God through hard work and hospitality.

I come from a large, close-knit family that has always valued faith, food, and fellowship. Their support and love have shaped who I am and continue to motivate me in everything I do.

When I’m not working or tending the smoker, you’ll find me outdoors hunting, fishing, and enjoying God’s creation. Whether I’m in the woods, at the pit, or serving others, I give it my all — for the glory of God.
